UCSC is excited to be partnering for our 20th Anniversary Year with UChicago Hillel Center to offer Week 3 and 7 reflection and dialogue sessions on our monthly social justice spotlight topics, using the civic reflection model pioneered by the nonprofit Center for Civic Reflection.
The Center for Civic Reflection is a national leader in reflection and dialogue. They use readings, images and videos to engage people in deep, productive conversation about issues that impact their communities and work in the world -- a practice that they call civic reflection. They have trained more than 7,000 people to facilitate these discussions in their organizations and communities, and led over 20,000 people in public, community, and workplace dialogues.
The UCSC 20th Anniversary reflection and dialogue sessions will focus on the monthly UCSC 20th Anniversary social justice spotlight topic. They will be facilitated by UCSC and Hillel student leaders on Wednesdays from noon-1 PM at the UCSC (5525 S. Ellis, Suite 160) on weeks 3 and 7 of each quarter.
