Want to Partner with the University?

As a center of the University of Chicago’s Office of Civic Engagement, UCSC's professional and student staff works with community partners to help advance their vision for the city by activating our most valuable resource – our students.

If you are a community organization interested in partnering with the University, please take a moment to fill out the form below. If you are interested in other kinds of partnership with the University beyond working with students, please share this with us in the form and we will refer you to the appropriate staff.

If you are looking for volunteers to support a specific, one-time event or project (such as a fundraiser or a work day), please tell us about your needs using this form. Please submit your events and projects no less than a month before the proposed date. Depending on the event, we may be able to publicize them through our channels, but note that we cannot guarantee a volunteer presence.

Because we believe that strong supervision and/or mentorship in community spaces are vital for our students and their civic development, whether in short-term projects or in longer-term partnerships, please know we will carefully vet proposals to ensure that these structures are in place.

Lastly, please be advised that, in the course of your opportunity, students may not be asked to express any particular religious or political views, or to promote those views as part of an ongoing campaign, marketing strategy, or outreach plan. Students also may not be asked to solicit funds or participate in any direct fundraising activity. Additionally, please be prepared to discuss procedures, liability, and other areas of concern if your opportunity involves some form of risk (working with minors, use of power tools, transportation needs, etc.).
