The UCSC team helps students identify and navigate pathways to civic participation at UChicago, connecting them to programs and projects across campus and in the community through advising, student-led projects and initiative support, and Chicago-centered workshops designed to prepare students to engage with neighboring communities thoughtfully. UCSC staff also help students secure an array of civic-focused job and internship opportunities, whether it is connecting them to Office of Civic Engagement programs, campus career centers, or general employment guidance.

FILL OUT FORMWORKSHOPS AND TRAININGS
UCSC leads Chicago-centered experiential learning workshops covering a range of civic engagement and social impact concepts designed to prepare students to engage with and enter neighboring communities thoughtfully. The trainings are scaled to strengthen students’ civic participation at multiple skill levels, preparing them for direct engagement with diverse stakeholders on and off campus. VISIT PATHFINDERSTUDENT-LED PROJECTS
UCSC staff support student efforts to launch and lead projects that help their peers engage with local community organizations and residents. This includes the Community Service Fund, a Student Government-led, UCSC-supported funding body that allocates part of the Student Activities Fee toward community service-focused events.
