Hyde Park Herald: Local hunger programs continue work amid steady demand

Food programs have continued to gain traction throughout the pandemic. This includes Hyde Park's very own Love Fridge, which arrived last August after a concerted effort by the University of Chicago Community Service Center and local residents.

Block Club Chicago: Another Love Fridge, ‘a piece of the puzzle’ to address food insecurity, now open around the clock in Hyde Park

UChicago's University Community Service Center partnered with Augustana Lutheran Church of Hyde Park, Love Fridge, UChicago Medicine staff, and University of Chicago Laboratory Schools parents to get the fridge to this location.

2021 Summer Links Application Launches!

Summer Links is a 10-week summer internship program where students are hired by a community program or organization to work as a summer intern. The cohort is made up of students from a range of majors who are committed to public service, community building, and social change.
